2D and 3D Animation

Courses 2D and 3D Animation

2D and 3D Animation Course Details

Course Overview

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of both 2D and 3D animation, encompassing the principles of animation, software tools, and practical techniques used in the industry. The curriculum blends theory with hands-on projects to help students develop their own animated works.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand Animation Principles: Learn the foundational principles of animation, such as timing, spacing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through.

  • Master 2D Animation Techniques: Explore traditional 2D animation methods, digital drawing tools, and software like Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar.

  • Gain Proficiency in 3D Animation: Understand the basics of 3D modeling, rigging, and animating using software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.

  • Develop Storytelling Skills: Study narrative structures, storyboarding, and visual storytelling techniques to create compelling animated stories.

  • Practice Character Design and Animation: Design characters and bring them to life through both 2D and 3D animation techniques.

  • Explore Motion Graphics: Learn about motion graphics, which combine graphic design and animation principles, using software like Adobe After Effects.

  • Understand the Production Pipeline: Gain insights into the animation production process, including pre-production (concept development, storyboarding), production (animation, modeling), and post-production (editing, sound design).
